Facilities on the Missouri side are licensed by MO DHSS under RSMo Ch. 198 (verify at health.mo.gov/safety/assisted/); Kansas-side facilities are licensed by KDADS as Adult Care Homes under K.A.R. 26-39 (verify at kdads.ks.gov/find-a-provider/). Medicaid is MO HealthNet MLTC in Missouri and KanCare in Kansas — the applicable program follows the state the building is in, and eligibility does not transfer automatically across the state line.
